We heart Marc Acito and you HAVE to read his books! July 14, 2008

Our friend Marc Acito was featured today in the “Hot Seat” interview with Hollyanna McCollum, Editor of PDX Magazine. We are so happy for him and his professional success! He has a new book out (a hilarious “must-read”), a movie in the works, a funny and inspiring blog where he is writing about doing something new every day, and a new play being produced at Artists Reperatory Theater this winter as well.

So when I heard about his feature I ran to get a copy and there he was in the magazine, having cocktails with Hollyanna at Bluehour proudly wearing his Cupcake Jones t-shirt!  

And making sure it was prominently displayed in photos….here, and talking about us in the article here.

We love you too, Marc! Thanks for the shout out! Now get out of bed and come on in for some cupcakes!

We were seen today on the video blog for Portland Center Stage (THANKS Rose!) as it is apparently a tradition to eat a cupcake before each reading at JAW.

Then go to a reading this weekend! I am trying like crazy to get to Storm Large’s first reading of her debut show “Crazy Enough” this weekend. If I can squeeze it in between wedding deliveries and events and apparently supplying cupcakes to the Portland Center Stage staff!

Bastille Day July 12, 2008

If you are still at home looking for something to do today, go watch fencing! Really!

At Jamison Park on 10th and Kearney, the Portland Bastille Day Festival is going on. There are some really cool fencing demonstrations being done by kids when we walked through.

The water fall is on, there’s music, food, and info booths. It lasts until 6pm.

Afterward, I am sure you will need a cupcake.

Wedding Bliss July 6, 2008

We love the Armory!

It is such a beautiful place for any event, especially weddings!

We just got back from setting up cupcakes for a wedding there and they turned out so beautifully!
